A public meeting will take place at the time and place indicated below. The meeting is open to the public in keeping with Chapter 19, Subchapter V, 1995 Wisconsin Statutes. {Open Meeting Law.}

Notice of this meeting was given to the public at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting by forwarding the complete agenda to the official City newspaper, the Star News, and to all news media that have requested the same as well as posting. Copies of the complete agenda were available for inspection at the City Planners Office. Anyone desiring information as to forthcoming meetings should contact the Office of the City Clerk.

Pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 19.84(2) and (3) notice is hereby given to the public and media that two or more members of the Medford City Council, who are not also Plan Commission members, may attend the meeting of the Plan Commission scheduled to be held on March 5, 2019 at 5 o’clock PM in the Council Conference Room at the City Hall, 639 South Second Street, Medford, WI, to gather information about a subject over which the Common Council has decision making responsibility. For purposes of the Open Meetings Law only, attendance by two or more City Council members who are not Plan Commission members constitutes a meeting of the Common Council, pursuant to Badke V. Village Board of Village of Greendale, 173 Wis2d 553, 494 NW2d 408 (1993), and must be noticed as such, although it is not contemplated the Common Council will take any formal action at this meeting.

 

The subject matter intended for consideration at this meeting is set forth on March 5, 2019 Plan Commission meeting notice itself.

 

The City does not know whether Common Council members who are not Plan Commission  members will actually attend the Plan Commission meeting. Non-committee members attend occasionally, but not regularly. This Notice is not intended to establish the importance, or lack thereof, of this particular meeting.
