 Under the general direction of the City Coordinator, the City Treasurer performs technical municipal work relating to financial management, accounting, and other fiscal and financial work in accordance with applicable State Statutes and City Ordinances.  The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining and keeping accounting records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (G.A.A.P.) There is frequent interaction with the general public, the Council, and legal counsel.  This position requires the ability to maintain the highest degrees of confidentiality and organizational skills.


 A Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree with work history, in Accounting with significant experience in municipal accounting or any equivalent combination of training and work experience is required.  CPA preferred.  Advanced knowledge and experience in the utilization of computer applications including Word, Excel, and Access, or other computer functions, applications, and operations. 

 Compensation & Benefits-
